i feel like a straight person.

BEFORE:

soo heres my story of the day. next to marshalls there is this hair school like merrell in jeff. so i called there to see if they do hair relaxers (yeah go ahead and roll your eyes and start preaching about how i'll regret it.) and the girl says yes and blahblah so today is my only day off and im sooo tired of straightening my hair for an hour and a half everyday, especially since its summer and humid and too short to be curly.

so i decide to go there. and i walk up to the front desk where two of the most stereotypical hair dressers are and i tellt hem i want to getmy hair relaxed, and one girl actually starts laughing. so i automatically tell her my hair was straightened at the time cause i know you arent supposed to wash it for at least 24 hours before. then she calls her mentor person over (who is white) and is like oh no. we cant do a relaxer on you because you are caucasian. and i just look at her. are you freaking kidding me????? isnt that like reverse discriminatoin?? this is 2008. and she is like how curly is your hair and i tell her its like having black girl hair. and she is like yeah i think we have the same texture. no. we. dont. so i tell her that because now she is being annoying. her hair was like.....well i cant think of someone we all lknow but its the kind hair that its only curly if they use a ton of hairspray and then its all crispy and gross. so then she tells me again that they dont do it on white people so i leave.

thats the readers digest version cause trust me it was a too long conversation.

so i go and complain to my friends at work and then they are like why dont you go to Fiesta? and by now im desparate cuase im going to an amusement park where my hair will get wet and i dont want it to be ridiculous. so i call the girl and explain to her that i AM white, but still want a relaxer and shes like um yeah why wouldnt we do it? so then i go in and tell my long dramatic stoy to the Fiesta manager and she freaks out about how stupid that is and blahblahblah. so they decide to do some other thing to my hair, instead of relaxing it. i cant remember what its called, but it does the same thing, only it repairs past damage at the same time. i was there from 1-630. seriously.

buuuuut i LOOOVVEEE it. its soo freaking soft and shiney. and wonderful. haha. when it was finished i was like whoaa i feel like a straight person now!!! except i meant a person with straight hair. ha i got some strange looks for that one.

here are weird pictures.

oh and did i mention this isnt even with a hot iron? just a quick blow dry? my life rocks.

ok, so of course I'm sad that it is more permanent than just straightening it, but as someone who now daily straightens their (not so) curly hair that would seem hypocritical of me ;) I totally think you look gorgeous with straight hair anyway, so hey, if you like it that way go for it. Though I can't garuntee that it wouldn't be curly again in heaven ;)

well since everythiing is supposed to be perffect in heaven i think i will be able to handle it because hoefully there will be no humidity and it will be the length that wont look poofy either. hooray for that.

holy sexy! You look amazing and I'm so glad that you got it relaxed--it'll save your hair from the melter that is your straightener. Jordan said you look like a completely different person (I believe that was a compliment...) Way to go white girl!
