twentyfive

I was tagged on facebook but i dont really want to post on there..so i picked here.

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

one. As much as i complain about ohios weather (for example:it took me 45 minutes of scraping the cracks of the door just so i could get it open and start my car. FORTY FIVE?? lame)i know i will have to get over it because when i eventually move out west it'll be worse and nobody will want to listen.

two. i dont schedule my bills for autopay because for some reason i feel more responsible when i have to remember it myself. weird, i know.

three. i go through what i call youtube-phases. im always on youtube BUT someweeks ill be obsessed with the celine dion channel. other weeks it will be listening to people sing covers of songs -which totally pays off. there was a girl i listened to for a long time and now shes on radio disney constantly. i swear. and sometimes i go thru beauty and the beast channels...hah if i didnt know all the words to the songs from growing up with my sister then i do now.

four. my new years resolution is to take a lot of pictures. i think im doing pretty good so far.

five. this summer i REALLY want to go on a roadtrip. i think its the freedom that i find so appealing. (and it will be a good opportunity for a ton of pictures)

six. if it snows outside there are 2 places im guaranteed to slide. infront of taco bell and infront of where they are building the new Raising Canes. it could be like 105 degrees outside and my car wil still spin out infront of both of those places (not really..but definitely in the snow)

seven. i laugh at everything. i cant help it. i thik people find it annoying. ive actually had customers comment on how im constantly smiling...BUUUT they dont say it in a nice way they make it sound like its a disease. haha

eight. this year, im going to climb a tree!

nine. im constantly cutting stuff out of magazines. people are creative and you can find some interesting things

ten. two weeks ago a woman came through my line with a crapton of towels she asked me what color they were and i said blue. then she told me she was colorblind (i didnt realize women could be..) and asked if they were slate blue. i told her yes cause i didnt really know. then i went home and googled it and i was very wrong. they were as far as you can get from slate blue. they were like suuperr light. i still feel really bad. i picture people going into her bathroom and thinking what the smack?? but she has no idea.

eleven. i just lost 13 random facts that were each a good paragraph long. i thought this thing was saving itself so when i had to exit out, it wasnt a big deal. its not that i dont remember what i just wrote...i ventured outside to scrape more of my car for a good hour... now im realy sad cause currently i can only remember 2 of them. and im not trying to be whiney but i seirously thought they were all really interesting. ha.

twelve. someday i want to use the story of what happened during my junior year to give the kids that i want to help, hope. the entire story...holding nothing back. i dont want to sound annoying, but i think it has the potential to be really powerful to someone who needs to hear it.

thirteen. last monday i was having a really ugly day. the kind where u wake up 8 minutes before you are supposed to leave. a lady came thru my line and i said hi how are you and her reply was those glasses look really cute on you! i know it sounds lame but iw ant to be like her. a trillion times a day i see someone with a cute bag or shoes and i want to say something but i dont. i think im going to start cause it could change somenoes ugly day.

fourteen. when i have cash..thats all i pay with. for example, if my total was 12.23 i would give the cashier 13.00 no matter what. i hate counting out change...even if theres nobody behind me. it seriously stresses me out. which is stupid. now that i work in retail i wish everyone would pay with correct change. so now im trying to at least make an effort.

fifteen. i love getting caught in the rain. i mean if its raining befor ei leave the house then im going to wear something with a hood..buuut if you have nowhere else to be i think its fun. a few summers ago i went to six flags with my firend and her family..one minute we were all dying of heat and wearing shorts and flipflops and the next it was a crazy down pour ive honestly never seen it rain that hard in my life and i couldnt stop laughing! a stranger had to run and grab my flipflop cause it got suctioned into a puddle and took off at what looked like 83 miles an hour down the 'stream' i thought it was funny. (i ended up being sad cause thats when i broke my rediculously expensive phone from water damage...but still)

sixteen. if i dont have bobbypins then i refuse to pull my hair back. the way the stylist cut my hair is shorter onthe side with my bangs. so whenever i pull it up that chunk falls down and it seriously looks ike i have the rosie odonnel lesbian haircut. im not even kidding. where its like shaved on one side ad long on the other..ya know?

seventeen. i think the people behind Law and Order are the smartest people ever. i mean seriously that shows been running since iw as like 2 and they STILL have new episodes. thats crazy.

eighteen. i absolutely hate that just because i have straight hair now, people think i dont kow what curly is. dont get me wrong, when my hair grows out a little more ill most likely get it relaxed again, but i lived 18 years with my freaky fro so i think that gives me the 'priviledge' of knowing curly from wavy and wavy from straight, thank you very much.

nineteen. (im still really bitter that i cant remember all the really good things i wrote about, or when i do remember them, how i worded it) when i lived in missouri one of my friends parents hated me. it felt like with a fiery passion. and i know its horrible but whenever i hear an adult say that im a good influence or good kid or something it makes me want to get it in writing and send it to them. it wouldnt make a difference, i dont talk to that family anymore, and even if i did talk to them, theres nothig i could say or do that would change it. that, and it would kind of defeat the purpose. i guess good kids dont throw stuff like that in other peoples faces.

twenty. Theres only one book that ive read more than once. its still my favorite and when i found out the main characters name (theydont say it until the last like 7 pages) is the same name i have picked out when i have a kid...i knew it was a sign. haha maybe not. but i still love the name and i still love the book.

twenty one. i love almost every song mandy moore has done. i remember back in the day when her stuff from when she was ike 13 was cool, but then a couple years ago i was riding in my sister and now brother in laws car and they had one of her songs on cd. when i came home from that trip i youtubed all of her stuff. last summer i saw her on the tyra banks show and her interview made me sad...because i wanted her to be like the girl from a wlk to remember in real life. no such luck. i still listen to her music though.

twenty two. The same week that we had to put our dog, hobbit, to sleep i was running late for school and my mom had to take him outside to pee. i was so frustrated cause i was going to be late so i said 'why didnt you guys take him out earlier???' and i dont remember who said it, most likely my dad, said well after this week you wont have to worry about that anymore! i got in the car and cried, and after school, played with him until i went to bed. i still feel bad.

twenty three. when i was hired at my job two mangers did seperate interviews (neither of them are at our location anymore) and when i came in to have them sign a paper for a work permit i was wearing a camo coat (youd have to see it...it was $8 and i thought it was different and trendy at the time...i think ive worn it maybe 4 times..) i was wearing glasses, and had my hair in braids. a rediculously pretty manager who i'd never seen before is the one who filled out my paper and the nextday when i came in for orientation she gave me the tour and askedmy name...when i told her she was like oh weird. youre like a different person from yesterday and i laughed and was like oh..hah yeah...well i had glasses on and stuff. and she was like yeah, and a different personality. to this day i have no idea what she meant by that. we both remember the conversation so i bring it up and ask her but she wont tell me. even though we're friends so i know she likes being around me...it still bugs me.

twenty four. I just got a phonecall assigning me to be a visiting teacher...and to be honest i know im going to rock at it. or at least at the making cool handout type things part of it.

twenty five. Last summer i was realllllly close to bungee jumping, my friend and i were at an amusement park and i had almost talked her into it until we watched one last person go and the cord made a really loud almost snapping noise and the person doing it got jerked really hard. when they came down they were almost crying cause apparently it hurt so bad. i was still willing to do it.

whoever is reading this should fill this out too. just because.

two miracles two pictures.

numero uno.

so i had tricia buy me this plant from Michaels. its like a chia-pet only different. it has eyes on the actual plant and it comes with mouth stickers to put on the pot part of it. anywho it says to put water on it and then put a container over it cause it helps the 'germination process' or something. i dont know. in 5-7 days white fuzz was supposed to appear on my Eye Grow..thats when i knew i could take off the container and just water it. WELL it was day 6 and i was discouraged because there was no white fuzz. on day 7 i go to work, come home, and THIS IS WHAT I SEE.

(this is not a dramatization...this crap seriously happened in just over 24 hours)

i realize that the entire thing is supposed to be covered in grass that tall but for some reason that strand shot up. (if you kind of squint you can see another strand starting to grow) anyway im excited. totally worth the $2.49

miracle numero dos. Yesterdya we had our work christmas party but it snowed reaaaaaaaalllllllllllyyyy bad for some random reason so everyone waas wondering whether they were going to cancel it or not. but the roads cleared up enough just in time for them to keep the partay going. hoooray.

heres another picture.

my readers digest versions are never short

so basicallly today like a half hour before i was suposed to leave this guy came in wearing a huge coat with his hood up....our theory is if you acknowledge every single person that comes into the store then they will be more inclined to actually pay for their items as opposed to stealing them becuse they know that we know they are there...so anyways he walks in and i say hi. and then he walks to the last register (im the only one on register by the way..and im rght at the front door) and then walks back up with a giftcard in his hand and asks to buy $250.00 on it. i think its weird because he doesnt seem like someone who can just drop that kind of money. but i say okay...and he writes a check. its not out of a checkbook but its just a single check. then he tilts his wallet towards him in a funny position so i cant see it and writes down his drivers license number....BUT then when hes going to write down his date of birth (Which we dont need but i guess he assumed we did) he writes the month.....then pauses looks at his stinking drivers license and writes the rest!! so obviously you know he has a personal problem when he doesnt know "his" own "birthday. so i asked him if i could see his license to verify everything and big shocker its a fake license. but i cant say anything bc he asked me not to take it out of its cubby in his wallet because its ripping. (Which by the way is not weird...ive heard it a few times before) but anyways you can tell because the colors are a little off and the font is completly different. (my miracle by the way is that ive filled out enough of other peoples credit card apps to have a license memorized) AND his picture looks like a he-she ...its wearing lipgloss and lipliner but the name says Roger, so i guess he/shes living some kind of double life. but anyways blahblbha i cant say anything so i decide to run the check knowing it will get denied. and it does. and he acts shocked. and i just look at him. so he asked me if i could type in the numbers - ii mean, obviously this guy knows his stuff.
so i agree and it gets declined. i should have kept his check but i didnt. and then when he left our Loss Prevention lady called me and asked 4697246 questions. and my other miracle is that i rememberd a few things. not his last name cause he had like 4 written on his cardstock license. but still.
okay the end.

ive seen fire and ive seen rain

so on friday it was REALLLLY icy. and i had to work at 2. so i went outside and scraped my car and then left. well i felt l ike i hadone of those hydraulic cars but i thought it was just ice so i kept gong. well when i got on the main road where there waasnt any ice and i was still thumping it wasnt terrible but i couldnt accelerate. so i decided to pull over in a parkinglot right next to our house and i get out and BAM. my tire is commmmmmpllleeetttelellllly flat. like i waa surprised my rim wasnt bent it already. so i call my mom and she gets me and we have to ditch my car there so i can get to work.wellll after w ork my parents decide that i should drive it to the mechanic place thats about a mile away so theycan work on it but i dont want to cause im afraid that im going to have to get a new rim too. but i do it anwyays...sorta. i get like 1/4 a mile down and then pull over and tell my mom she has to switch me cars cause i was freaking out. i was only going 15 miles an hour but it was sooo loud and i wasnt moving. but we got it there and long story short it sat there until just a few minutes ago. well i thought they were going to have to give me at least 2 new tires to keep it balanced or whatever BUT my miracle is i only needed one! he said i rolled over something that got inside of my tire and just made it keep going down and down and down but the rest of them are perfect! hooray.

best miracle eveerr

so this is yesterdays miracle.
i was go ing to leave work early cause i was goign to get my hair cut but then right when i was getting ready to leave my dad called and said my mom was going to bring me home food. so obviously i stayed for that. anywho. there was still a half hourish before i usually leave but i was all ready and kind of bored so i decided to head to work anyways. so im in the turning lane and im looking at t he gas prices...idk if ive already told this storybut a while ago i passed up 1.45 because i thought it would keep going down and i didnt desparately need gas. well the next day it went up to 1.85.not even kidding.
anyway. im looking at the gas prices that went from 1.69 to 1.99 in a matter of hours..and there was a grocery stores gas station that was 1.79...20 cents cheaper but i figured it was one of those fuel perks things where you had to have a receipt inorder to get it that cheap. well anyways its on the opposite end of the road and i decide that ill get it AFTER work since i need gas anywys and even if you need a receipt to get that price it doesnt matter cause im not going to find it for cheaper than 1.99 anywhere. but THEN i realize how stinking early i am, and i turn arond and get in the other turnig lane. it turns out that ou dont need a receipt from the store and that 1.79 was just the price!! so i fill up and im staring at the sign that says the prices wondering why its so much cheaper and right when my thing clicks cause its full the sign changes to 1.99.
that my friends, is a freaking miracle. i was most likely the last person in ohio to get gas for 1.79!
hoooooray.

can i get a woo woo?

so today im at work and soething happens that i literally think is a miracle..SO i write it on my hand but 10 seconds later the miracle turns out to not be a miracle...but just makes the day harder.
buut im not only being negative today. i have a real miracle too!
so at work we are completely out of tissue paper. and bubble wrap. We werent expecting to sell as much dishes and crap durng christmas as we did. so now we cant wrap anthing to keep it from breaking. its so annoying and customers get angry. not even kidding people ask on a daily basis if we can wrap something that will never get broken for example: a plastic bowl, a wooden picture frame without glass, silverware. i mean seriously. and because of inventory we arent getting a truck in with new merchandise onn it until friay andthats the same day the supplyorder is supposed to arrive. anyway. a lady comes and returns a crapton of glasses she bought and they are all wrapped in a crapton of bubble wrap. im realllly excited because earlier we got in a lot of valentines dishes that i know are gong to sell and without being able to wrap them at all people will voice their complaints. loudly. anyway im getting ready to tell this lady how shes just made my day because now we have at least some bubble wrap. but first i decide to draw a picture of a bubble on my hand so i can remember to tell everyone. and then she says 'oh by the way...can i keep the bubble wrap? im moving next week.' and i cant say no. so there went my bubble wrap.
oh well.
my realll miracle was i was texting my friend minnie and i was saying how im trying to save up a lot of money and how its hard when i have to pay car insurance and everything else. so i was thinking about that later when i had to go back on the floor. WELL on mondays we have coordinators meetings but i couldnt go to it cause they didnt schedule anyone to cover me so my boss was like sorry you have to stay up here but want to hear something exciting? then she tells me because i did such an awesome job during christmas im getting a 50cent raise.
HOOOOORRRAAAYYY.
its totally a sign. :)

okay so

my miracle for yesterday was that i did not fall asleep during the curious case of benjamin button. we didnt go until 10 and when i pulled into the parking lot my friend, katie, told me it was almost 3 hours long. shoot me please. the last movie i saw tht was 3 hours long was the lord o f the rings and i still to this day cannot tell you what ANY of those movies are about. i know that seems like a lame miracle but first of all i hate sleeping durng movies when im with other people. when you watch them when youre not tired you think how can you fall asleepwhen youre not laying down? buuut we went to the movie theater where you eat dinner too so youre sitting in these huge leather comfy rolly chairs and theres a table infront of you. i felt like everytime i blinked i had to remind myself to re-open my eyes. the movie was lame. dont go see it. it mostly creeped me out. he looks like a monster baby in the beginning -which i dont feel bad about saying because i asked my dad and its not based on a true story. haha its sorta sad that i had to ask.
my miracle for today is that i got up and actually looked presentable at church. i havent set an alarm for church since missouri i think?
anyways, im so excited for 2009! i graduated high school a whole year ago today. and holy cow i feel like a different person. do you guys want to hear my motto for 2009? i think it rocks.
i saw it in a magazine one time..it was an ad for Nike or something. idk but anyways its
"The past doesn't matter anymore. Everything that matters is out there. Everything that matters is everythiing we're about to do."
did that just change your life? i mean....it probably did. its the story of my new life and im pumped! =]
