So the end is coming near :( I'm guessing i have about a month and a few days left in Hawaii and while i can't wait to get home and hang out with my family, i still have these weird moments where i get supeeerr sad. like it just happened. right then..as i was typing that.

yesterday was a really good day.. we went to church and then Waimea Bay...we were only there for about 2 hours when the number of ambulances that had to come were up to 5. I don't realy know how to explain it but the shore break was really dangerous..it was the highest its been in 6 months i guess..so the waves would be really big and fun but then all the sudden they would get over 12 feet high and people were being pulled under. It was intense. Then after we got home we went to devotional and it was Sheri Dew and Wendy Nelson..they did a realllly good job, and afterwards we went up to meet them. haha that was awkward. I kinda just wanted to say thanks for cmoing and keep walking but idk it was weird..my roommate wanted to get a picture with all of us and her and it was just strange. Sheri Dew definitely seems like someone i would NOT want to cross with. she got really weird when people asked her to sign her book. But its against the rules so its not like she was just being goofy about it.

After this week the island is going to be SO bare..it'll just be us idaho kids and the locals pretty much (which is scary) because school is ending this week...i dont' know about anyone else but i swear the last two weeks in EVERY single semester, it starts getting really really really fun..like you start meeting really cool people and i think its annoying! oh well...we'll still have fun..maybe cool people will be moving in too. wellll i need to go to work. sooooo the end.

So I feel like I should probably update this every once in a while so my sisters know whats going on in my life. Ya know..if theyre interested.
I’ll just catch you up on whats been going on this last week. So theres this thing called Stairway to Heaven and it’s a hike up a mountain that consists of 3,922 stairs ..one way. Seriously. It was made around world war 2 I think because they used to have an assembly line that goes up it and they would load stuff in helicopters at the top. Then they reconstructed the stairs in the 1950s cause they were wooden and scary and dangerous, and then again in 2003 they spent almost a million dollars re doing the stairs again …theyre stil ghetto though they just made better hand rails and stuff. But the thing is, for some reason the hike is still illegal. So if you want to go, then you have to wake up at 3am and go down there so you can get there before the security guard. SO on Wednesday that’s what we did..except we got there at like 430 instead and there was already a security guard sitting there…we were so bummed. So we went to one of the other hidden entrances that we found out about on google, but you have to hop a fence for it. I didn’t care..i was way excited cause by the time you get to the top of the mountain you can see all of Oahu and its right when the sun rises and stuff. But anyways its in a neighborhood and this guy came out and was being gay and said we ‘better not climb that fence’ even though it wasn’t on his property or anything. So we left.
THEN we tried the next day even earlier but there was a security guard there then too. So weve decided that they must pay someone to sit out there for literally 24 hours to keep people out. Whatever. I’ll climb it eventually. On our way home the second day we stopped at a world war 2 bunker..i didn’t even know what a bunker was. It was REALLY sweet though. Tehres like a lock that you need a combination for to get inside, but somehow my roomie knew it? It was so scary..we went up like 10-15 sets of ladders..it felt like I was climbing through a drain pipe or a straw. There was seriously NO room. If your foot slipped then you’d be a goner. We got to the top and climbed out and then climbed up on some rocks and sat in the Look-out den or whatever its called. Its that thing on the top of the mountain that overlooks the ocean and someone with guns sits there and shoots are ships and stuff. It rocked.
Oh and I had NO idea how many movies were filmed on Oahu. The entire show Lost was filmed like 20 minutes from where I live and they jus tbarely stopped filming a few weeks ago, but apparently you could go and watch them film anytime you wanted. We went to A LOT of the places they’ve been. And next to the bunker we were in was another bunker that is filled with props from different movies. They had stuff from Indiana jones, pearl harbor especially, and like a billion other things. As we were leaving my roommate went to put the lock back on right when an SUV of producers pulled up and they were like what are you guys doing? Who are you? They didn’t’ care that we weren’t supposed to be there and we were…they just didn’t want us messing with their stuff.
The frustrating part about this trip is that the temple is closed. And apparently has been for over a year. I was really looking forward to going to it. Buuuut oh well.
I guess that’s all I have for this week..but here are pictures to make it more interesting.
