everyone has a life story.
um lie. everyone does. some are just more interesting and better developed than others. so i told her that and she just sat there and finally out of nowhere said 'when i was 18 i got pregnant and married....thats when my life started.' and then went into a long story. and at the end said she felt better. haha i love it. i think i have something written on my forehead that says please share secrets. cause that is the story of MY life. it is made up of keeping secrets for other people and the power that comes from listening...like reaaallly listening. i dont know i think its interesting.
i have a good news moment.
yesterday i was at work and there was an envelope on the counter that had a few peopls names on it so i opened it to see if i was supposed to distribute the goods since i was at the service desk. but it turns out it was the Associate of the Quarter ballots. or whatever they are called. and my name was on there!! haha i was so excited. basically there is only 4 of those a year (this is the first time im eligible) and the managers choose 4 people out of the entire store that are doing a really good job and then my coworkers vote to see who wins. i think that rocks. im not going to win casue im going against reallly good people. and iknow that, and im okay with that. cause i would vote for everyone im running up against, but whoever wins gets their name on a plaque a sweet nametag and a raise...oh and a hoodie that says marshalls associaate of the quarter.
and today when i came in the store owner who never talks to me....ever was crazy nice. he waslike HEY are you hungry?? ill make you a hotdog...or a burger! (cause one of our managers is leaving we were having a cookout) and i hate hotdogs but dude iwasnt going to ruin the moment so iw as like um sure! haha.
good times.

alright homies.
yeah its blurry but thats not the point. the perfume on the left is .5 ounces, i got it in a gift set from some girl at christmas time a few years ago and skylar loooovveees it so i bought her the same stuff, same size and everything on amazon before we moved..for like $17. i thought that was a normal price, and it sorta is. buuut her birthday is this saturday and im gong to see her on monday so i have to get her something.and we decided on perfume so at the good ol marshalls. we have the bottle on the right. 3.4 ounces. for $14.99. i almost peed.
and i didnt buy this but, its what i got for going to relief society. you know how they give you a gift as you go in to make you feel welcome or whatever? well the used to make quilts but then there were 6 of us graduating this year so they decided to make these!
its a bag from aerpostale (reversable!) and they stiched my name on one side...obviously. everyone got a different kind. i think its pretty swell cause its actually something you can use to put your scriptures in and not feel ddorky like a quilt with flowers on it or something.

there were more pictures but it keeps saying error. so i think i'll try later. i have more to show!

i really am as hardcore as i say.
but let me just say i was going to respond to marcies tagging blog but then i realized i didnt have a hero and when you mess up on the first question its discouraging but if i find one soon then i'll fill it out.
so today at work it was around four and i was in the break room with sally (manager) and ben ..who is just another kid i work with and then cristine (other manager) calls sally and we dont hear anything except sally say 'who should i bring??? ben? aly? both??' and then she hangsup and is like having a cow and grabs her keys and tells ben and i to come with her so i think that someone got caught shoplifting and we have to sit in the LP (loss prevention) room as a witness. but on our way she tells us that the guy who has run out TWO times this week is in here again...so two claps for christine for recognizing him. and i kid you not, i felt so hardcore....cause sally told me to get my keys out (they were only for layaway..not to be able to lock the doors, but i guess the theif wouldnt know that) and then hands me a walkie talkie that i doubt works and then evverryonee but two people came up to the front doors and we all just stood there together doing nothing waitng for him to realize that we know who he is. so anywho. while we're all standing up there sally was walking around kinda close to him to see what kind of stuff he had in his hands to steal and tells ishmail (who is only on like...his third day) to follow him aorund the entire store at a distance. so anywho we are standing up there for literally 35 minutes. all of us. and then a white kidnapper van pullsup in front and oh gee look at that. the sliding door just happens to be open waiting for someone. so i get christines attention and she walks to a window and makes it look like shes fixing a sign but really is writing down the license plate even though he uses a different van everytime. and the guy who is stealing drops all of his crap somewhere in the back cause i guessed he realized that we're not leaving. and then runs out the front door. haha.
but wait while writing this i guess i realized i have a kinda hero like marcies..so hang on i have to copy and paste that thing in here now.
Name 1 of your heroes
okay after that guy ran out, within five minutes two customers came inside and told me that they wrote down his license plate too. these people had noothiingg to do with marshalls...they just wanted to kill time on a saturday, and it wasnt like the guy was carrying stuff in his hands, he just looked suspicious and the car drove fast. but those two different guys both came in with a dirty napkin or it typed on their blackberry just incase we didnt get it. that was really nice of them. cause when random people like that prevent stealing or make it harder then i keep my job and i get to keep paying low prices for rad stuff :) one guy even said he tried follow them after he saw the van speed away but he didnt think his car would make it that fast but he watched their van and saw what streets it turned down just in case it would help.
Name 2 new things you’ve learned/accomplished this past year
-on monday it will make it a year of living in ohio. i think its a big deal because i read my journal and see how far i've come.
-i graduated high school, yo. EARLY even. sweet.
Name 3 things you want to do before you die
-i willll learn how to play the guitar. i want to be able to play The Fray or something else thats mainstream that people will recognize...something that consists of more than just the G chord.
-be one of those moms that goes to pto meetings and is a room mother that brings cupcakes with wayy to many sprinkles on halloween.
-learn how to do a stinking cartwheel.
i know these sound dopey, but i do have the kind that are deep that you would right on a list during young womens or something. but these are a pretty big deal to me also.
Name 4 books that have influenced the way you think (not including the scriptures because I'm hoping that is a GIVEN for everyone that is reading this)
-i dont think i can come up with four.
but i read this book called Aimee one time and it like changed my life. ill save you the trouble of googling it because no, none of you would like it. it sounds dramatic and "so-alyssa" but its about this girl whos best friend kills herself and then everyone blames her cause she sorta knew about and shes being charged with murder cause she was there the night it happened but really she was just trying to save her. anyways it was one of those books where you read something and youre like holy smokes. so you type it up and print it just so you can remember how amazing that sentence is. haha okay, maybe im the only one who does that.
-chicken soup for the mormon soul or whatever its called.
-oh one time i was on this eating disorder website reading what other people had written...just because. and this one girl wrote a list of things she wished she could say to people..and it wasnt depressing and whiney it was just real. and goood.
-my sisters keeper. OH jeez. i dont know why i couldnt think of this one....dad had to remind me that i read it. it was SOOOO good....okay the ending sucks hardcore. but i read the entire thing..all 298375 pages. annnd its being made into a movie next summer. shooray. its getting really bad reviews cause its depressing. for people who dont know its about a girl who was like genetically engineered.. seirously, cause her older sister has cancer and then she decideds to sue her parents so she can have rights to her own body and decide whether or not she wants to give all this blood and bone marrow stuff to her sister. its good.
Name 5 things that you plan on learning/accomplishing in the next five years.

getting a coordinator position which better be within 5 months, not years.
reading the twilight series cause i feel left out. in fact, i even bought a copy on amazon yesterday (cause i was number 987346 in line at the library) the movie trailer looked good, so t hats what convinced me. haha
i hope im kinda close to being married...i dont have to be engaged or whatever, but i at least want to feel like i wont be 897. haha like that girl on the singles ward. i dont want to be her.
