Because my sister, Marcie, never answers her phone.

i guess i could give some sort of update on my life...for my sisters benefit.

so ill start with school. im only taking 6 credits which is only two classes but its kinda kicking my butt already. just because the assignmetns are so time consuming and im not interested in them. i have to re-write the declaration of independence for one of them and the kids in my group are kinda stupid. not to be mean. we have to read like 12 pages on Word everynight and practically memorize it so we can fill in the blanks the next morning for a quiz. i still dont even know who we were declaring independence from. and that my friends, is a sad truth. in my other class, theere is only 11 people on a good day and my teacher is really crazy about us participatin gin class discussion. i guess she doesnt realize that when she points it out that we're beign quiet, or when she asks obvious questions it makes it worse. so basically i spend the entire hour listening to myself talk because nobody else will say anything. who knows why. i had to write a cover letter asking her to let me in her class. yeah, thats our first writing assignment. who does that? oh well..tomorrow is the peer review where the kids in my class who apparently dont have an opinion or original thought on anything will be grading my paper. cool.

this week for devotional president Erying came. i think thats how you spell his name. so the univeristy asked that classes get out early so everyone who wanted could attend...i couldnt go becasue i didnt get a ticket in time. plus i wouldve had to watch it in a different auditorium being broadcasted which would have been a lot less cool than actually being in the building. but still.
Last night, my roommate invited me to go with her to her friends sisters house to make watches. i havent hung out with her before and i declined her invite to go to jamba the day before so i agreed and it was actually REALLY fun. im going to be honest, i think 99% of the watches look really tacky becasue they are made with huge beads, but it was still pretty cool. she has a trilliion beads to choose from and all of my favorites were the cheap ones :) hooray. the watch i made is in my car, so ill take a picture tomorrow if i remember and post it.

the night before that my other roommate and her sister who was visiting were donig henna. im not even sure if thats the way to use it in a sentence..but its that indian thing where you use tea and it sorta stains your skin for a few weeks? idk...google it if you dont know what im talking about. im not going to lie about this either, when i first saw it i thought it was really ugly and weird. there are a lot of muslim/indian pepole in ohio so i had kinda seen it before and i wasnt a fan. but a couple people came over and my roommates did it for them and it started looking pretty cool. plus it totally helps that my roommate who was doing it, is an art major...it makes it look a lot less messy. but i kept declining because a few weeks is a looonng time to have somehting on your skin. but then at like ...2 in the morning i agreed. haha seriously. so now i have this flower on my wrist. nobody notices it, and i think if they do they ust think its self tanner that i didnt rub in or something. ill try and take a picture of that too if i remember.

today i went to these seminars that the counseling department is putting on about Eating Disorders. i saw a flyer while i was wandering around trying to find my classes and decided that it would be realllllly interesting. and it has been! i took like 4 pages of notes. haha you can call me a dork..thats cool. the first one i went to was called 10 reasons/strategies for getting better and there were 2 really good speakers. one was the CEO of this place in orem called A Center For Change, and the other guy was one of the directors tehre. they had interesitn stories..the ceo was addicted to drugs and alcohol when he was in his 20s and now, even though he has been workin in an eating disorder clinic for over 25 years, his daughter has an eating disorder. it was soo incredible to hear what he had to say about that. tomorrow im going to my last one..the woman speaking wrote a book about recovering from an eating disorder. im excited..i just hope it gets out in time because ill only ahve 15 minutes to get to my next class which is on the opposite side of campus. lame.

well i definitely need to quit writing bc i have to wake up a lot earlier to get to that next seminar.
if i forget to post pictures, and you guys care...then remind me sometime
adios tacooooss
