i have this weird habit of every time i go for orientation (yeah, the whole 2 times ive done this) i always expect there to be millions of people, at heisinger i thought there would be like 20 people my age that id never seeen..instead there were 3..two over the age of 25 and one girl i hated at the beginning that ended up being one of my really goood friends. anyways.
i thought there would be like 5 people at marshalls but it was just me and my supervisor. awkward? yes. its like having a church lesson where youre the ony one and you pray taht they'll combine you but the leaders dont have espn..so youre left making eyecontact the w hole time and hving to respond to everything.
it wasn't horrible though, only 2 1/2 hours of filling out tax papers and going over what to do if someone steals....did you know youre not supposed to do anything? i think that would be the hardest thing, but apparenty a few hours away at another marshalls a worker sort of chased someone out of the store for stealing and the theifs get away car ran them over. crazy. so instead im supposed to go up to them and say
" HIIII my names alyssa!!!!! can i help you find anything???? [then they'll say no, so i'll say:] ohhh okay! well i'll be standing right here in case you need help!!!!!!!"
not even kidding. i got some card i can put in my pocket that says that on it just so i remember every word! haha strange.
i met one of my area managers (she doesnt have a TON of authority, but when im working in lingerie or misses and i make a mess she can get me in a looottt of trouble) her names christine and i think shes hilarious, so hopefully she'll be good to work with. she had no problem admitting how anal she was about her section though, and said all the other area managers learned from her. it should be some gooood times.
i have realllllly weird hours right now becuase 'february is a slow retail month.' umm okay? and they are staring me in Big and Tall...ive heard of that before but i dont thik ive ever really seen it. the jeans were as tall as me. seriously.
i had to get a physical today, so i could get my work perimt. at first i thought it was really worth going, it was like compliment central! haha my doctor was like you have such good skin and youre soooo skinny. but then she hit me with the killer:
i needed to get a shot.
and yes, chelsee i remember the shots we needed before going to school in jeff and how we freaked out. it was basically the same scene but i was alone in trying to convince the nurse that i couldnt get my jacket on cause my arm hurt too bad. :) oh jeez.
good times good times.
yeah now try and say i dont post! haters. before i thought it would be boring just to get on here and say that i watched videos on youtube all day but now ive decided that i think a lot during the day. (go ahead and laugh at how plain that sounded) but its troo. im a hidden genius
