I have officially walked a mile in EVERYONES shoes.

...or at least it feels like it, my feet are killing yo.
i had high hopes of this being a crazy interesting blog since i started work today, it wont be but oh well. at least im writing..right marcie?? :)
so it started like this.
im working with a girl named alyssa but she goes by aly. so everyone has taken it upon themselves to call me that too. i gues i dont mind, i almost like it better than alyssa..because that to me sounds like i should be drinking tea with my pinky out somewhere. the old people called me aly...but that was because they were calling me alisha (not alicia...but where it rhymes with wish) every other time.
she taught me how to hang socks on a rack. it was an intellecutal experience to say the least. hah no seirously it was hard, every brand in the world makes socks.
i restocked stuff for most of the time.
i think i must have a really convincing i-know-what-i'm-doing-face because at least 1000 people asked me a question and the only one i could answer confidently was where the potties were located. no lie. the other timei was like hmm i hven't seen any leather jackets, idk if it doesnt have a price tag then im just as lost as you, i can point to someone who might know, uhh the best i can do is help you look (which really means just looking in the same place they did, knowing youre not going to find it and then periodically sighing and moving something to the side to make it look like youre trying until they finally decide they didnt want that size anyway)
i have a lot of respect for people who work in stores though...everyoone has done that thing where they pick something up and walk around but decide they dont want it so they set it on the closest flat surface. i am here saying STOP DOING THAT...especially people with children...i found more toddler clothes in the mens underwear aisle than anywhere else. holy smack.
i spent over an hour making the mens section looking amazing only to go pee and come back to see a bunch of teenagers messed it up again. you know how people look at jeans but then just throw them over the rack? just. say. no.
it isnt that hard to fold it and put it bck on the hanger, there are even those handly little clips so it stays in place!!!
oh and is it really necessary to open underwear packets? theres a picture on the outside!
but seriously i had a good time. i really like the people there and i feel like im constantly doign something productive. it still looked messy when i left but they called my name and was like will you please come clock out now? and then we all group toether and tell eachother what a swell job they did.
im such a complainer. hah i like it though (the job). my next day is monday 10-5. while all the hooligans are at school :)
time for me to sleeep
peace out cub scouts.

It's funny that i have the opposite issue with people who can't find what they want. I had this law student tell me that there were no KJV call numbers so I offered to help her look only to find like 5 whole racks of the things. Some BYU students don't know how to use their eyeballs...
